This week’s lineup feels right for October. A few cozy projects, some spooky art, and a handful of makers who make things you don’t see every day. The thing I love most about the Makers that we feature is that they aren’t flashy. It’s just quality goods made by people who are really good at what they do and love doing it.

The Faery Forest

The Faery Forest builds tiny rooms inside old frames and lanterns. You’ll see moss, books, candles, and little shelves that look like they belong in a fairytale. They’re quiet pieces that are weirdly calming. The kind of thing you stop and stare at for a while. They make for great accent pieces that tie together earthy tones.

Chelsea Corinne

Chelsea Corinne’s art feels like a memory. Her Halloween print looks exactly like those classroom parties from grade school. The paper pumpkins, costumes, and candy corn. I can smell the Elmer’s Glue now! The rest of her work carries that same quiet nostalgia. It feels familiar, like something you’ve seen before but can’t quite place.

The Maker’s Manual

If you’re short on time but still want to decorate, this one’s easy. Grab a broomstick, some battery twinkle lights, and tape. Wrap the lights around the handle, wind them through the bristles, and hide the battery pack behind the stick.

It’s quick, cheap, and looks way more expensive than it is. Make sure to do it with a cinnamon broom to really lean into the season. Perfect for last-minute Halloween decorating!

Pearl and Pine

Every piece from Pearl and Pine starts as raw wood and ends as something you’d be proud to hang up. She mixes hand-cut patterns with laser details to make custom signs for homes and small businesses. They’ve got a clean, modern look but you can still see the handmade love in every piece.

She doesn’t have signs for sale, everything is custom made. This would make for a perfect gift for the small business owner in your life or just adding a beautiful sign with your family name to your living room decor.

That’s it for this week’s dispatch. Thanks for reading and for supporting the makers we feature each week. If you end up grabbing something or trying the DIY, tag us @themakersdispatch — we always love seeing it.
